About Me

I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland, possess a Psy.D. degree in clinical psychology, and have over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings. While I have spent most of my career in private practice, I have also worked in inpatient psychiatric facilities, forensic settings, and medical centers. Throughout all of these experiences, I have seen people endure struggles of many types, as well as going through a few of my own. Witnessing people recover and grow only strengthened my passion for actively helping others reach their goals.

My experience has shown me that we all have difficulty with life and are trying to find our way. I have seen many different ways that people attempt to discover meaning and purpose. I strive to provide a more focused approach for those on that journey of discovery.

I now work with individuals and couples in helping them discover the life they want to lead, overcome their fear in pursuing that life, and experience the joy that comes from seeing their hopes become a reality.  I do this through my work as a psychologist, coach, author, and speaker.

I want to help you the same way I have helped many others. Whether you are looking to heal and overcome past hurts or trying to make significant changes in your life, assisting you in identifying and meeting your goals while growing your skills is my priority.

In my personal life, I have a wonderful wife of 28 years and three terrific adult children. In my free time, I enjoy basketball, pickleball, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family. I have written a book- Living Larger: Discovering the True Riches of Life published by Motivational Press and am a member of both the American Psychological Association and the Maryland Psychological Association.
